The Funhub Patrol 26 Utility Workboat is the toughest, most hard-use-ready platform in the Funhub range — a 5083-series marine aluminium welded hull designed for commercial operation in conditions that would damage gel coat, buckle fiberglass, and test the fastening systems of production leisure craft. The 6mm bottom plating and 5mm topsides with fully welded internal frames and longitudinal stringers produce a structure rated for daily operation across the full commercial service life of 25+ years without the structural fatigue that would terminate a comparable GRP construction at 10 to 15 years. The enclosed forward cabin provides a fully weatherproof operational environment for crew members during extended patrol, survey, or workboat duties, with a helm position that provides 270-degree forward visibility through tempered glass, seating for three, and a VHF radio mounting shelf. The twin Suzuki DF225 four-stroke outboards provide 450 combined horsepower on the transom bracket — an outboard configuration chosen over inboard for the Patrol 26 for the simplicity of maintenance access and the ability to lift the engines clear of floating debris in shallow water operations without the risk of underwater gear damage.
